Vanix admin
Settings
Settings shows whether your store is set up to sell subscriptions, where your customer emails are sent from, and the time zone Vanix counts days in.
Storefront setup
Subscriptions only appear on your store once three things are done. Settings checks each one, shows a tick when it's done, and has a button for any that aren't. Choose Check again after you've done one.
| Step | Done when | If it isn't |
|---|---|---|
| Create a subscription plan | A plan is on at least one product, or on some of a product's variants | Go to Products. Products & plans |
| Add the subscription selector to your product page | The Subscription Selector block is on a product template in your published theme | Add in theme editor opens the theme editor with the block ready to place. Choose Save there. Adding the block |
| Add the subscriptions page to customer accounts | A customer has opened the Subscriptions page at least once | The step lists what to do in Shopify, and Open checkout settings takes you there. Adding the page |
Shopify doesn't tell apps whether the Subscriptions page has been added, so that step turns green the first time a customer opens it. To check it straight away, sign in to your store as a customer and open the page yourself.
An older theme without JSON templates can't show app blocks, so the selector step says so instead of offering the button. A question mark means Vanix couldn't check that step just then. Choose Check again.
Sending address
Shows the address your customer emails are sent from: ours, notifications@mail.vanixcommerce.com, or your own once your domain is verified. If you've started setting up your own domain, it shows whether the records have been found. If a verified domain's records go missing, it warns you, and emails go from our address until they're back. Set up and manage your domain in Customer emails.
Time zone
Vanix counts days in one time zone. It's used for the periods on your reports, the periods your AI insights cover, and the dates in customer emails. It starts as your store's time zone in Shopify (Settings → General in Shopify admin), and follows it if you change it there.
To use a different zone, choose it from the list and choose Save. To go back to following Shopify, choose Same as Shopify, the first option. Reports and emails use the new zone from then on.
